I integrate mindfulness with clients interested in working with emotions and developing a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves while navigating life’s stressors.
Practicing mindfulness begins with focusing and becoming aware of the present moment. This approach establishes a centering place by using the breath as an anchor. I work with you to gain insight on how you are experiencing and narrating life from the inside out. Many people are often given messages to avoid, detach or turn away from difficult emotions. Attempting to move away or avoid the discomfort increases the intensity of the suffering.
I encourage clients to turn towards emotions and practice how to linger a little longer with emotions and thoughts through awareness, acceptance and compassion.
