I provide counseling support to those grieving the death of a loved one, to people living with a life-limiting illness and to family members supporting a loved one who is living with an illness. Prior to private practice, I worked in hospice care in Chicago, Illinois visiting people in hospitals, nursing facilities and homes to provide support and counseling.
Grief impacts a person beyond their emotional world and can manifest in the physical, spiritual, behavioral and cognitive areas of one’s life. It is my belief that we have an attachment bond to those we love and to those who have had a significant place in our lives. We make meaning of our narrative, our view of ourselves, our view of others and the quality of the relationship through an attachment lens.
I offer a compassionate presence to process the various grief emotions and understand the numerous experiences affecting you. I walk with you as you navigate the path of profound loss.
